TUCSON - The Chaparral middle school assistant principal accused of having a sexual relationship with a minor pleaded guilty in Superior Court Wednesday.
Adrian Noriega, 39, pleaded guilty to 2 counts of sexual conduct with a minor under 18. He has not yet been sentenced, but any sentence for these counts would include prison time.
Tucson Police say Noriega befriended an Apollo Middle School 14-year-old student when he was a teacher there, years ago. Police arrested him on April 16 at Chapparral High School, where he was employed as an assistant principal.
Noriega is set to be sentenced in September.
