Arts and Culture Guy previews weekend events and movies

TUCSON - How about grabbing your girlfriends for a little "me time" this Mother's Day, and enjoying some of Tucson's arts and culture scene?

Herb Stratford stopped by the News 4 Tucson studios this afternoon to preview some of the events happening this weekend, including a free art exhibit running through the end of June.

• "20th Annual Small Works Invitational" Davis Dominguez
Art exhibit with 80 artists doing "small" works
Davis Dominguez Gallery - 154 E. 6th Ave.
May 10 - June 30

• "I dream in Widescreen" U of A student films
Free screening at Fox Theatre of 16 films
Saturday May 12 starting at 7pm/Doors open at 6pm

• "Palimpsest: An image of What Once Was " Joshua Olivera
New Art Exhibit
U of A Museum of Art
May 4 - Sept. 2

Herb also previewed some of the movies opening this weekend: Dark Shadows, Damsels in Distress, Marley, and We Have a Pope.
