PHOENIX (AP) - Six people have been arrested at a Phoenix auto parts business by Maricopa County Sheriff's deputies in an employer sanctions operation.
Sheriff's officials say four people allegedly were using fake Social Security numbers, one of which belonged to a dead person.
They say all six people arrested Thursday also are believed to be illegal immigrants.
Sheriff Joe Arpaio says his office received information months ago that some employees of Auto Fit Inc. were allegedly using forged documents to obtain employment.
Phoenix-based Auto Fit sells automobile parts from three facilities in Phoenix, Houston and Dallas. Officials from the Phoenix office declined comment Thursday on the arrests.
