TUCSON - Tucson police have a arrested a 21-year-old man in connection to the shooting death of a 7-year-old boy.

Alvinthe Valenzuela, 21, was taken into custody on Saturday and booked into the Pima County Jail.

He's been charged with one Count of First Degree Murder for the death of 7-year-old Johnathan Federico.

Valenzuela is being held on a $1 million bond, and his next court appearance will be April 19th at 1:30 p.m.

Federico died early Saturday morning after being shot on the eastside.
