PHOENIX - The Arizona Legislature's special session on the state's budget crisis has resumed but Senate votes on the last two budget-balancing measures have been delayed until at least Tuesday.

Those are a ballot measure to repeal a voter-authorized early childhood program and a bill to repeal a business tax credit.

The House approved those measures Thursday night when both chambers also passed the rest of the 15-piece budget-balancing package.

The Senate postponed voting on the ballot measure Thursday evening because they were short a vote when one majority Republican left early. A different GOP senator was absent Monday.

Meanwhile, Republicans are checking to see whether Democrats will provide needed votes on the tax credit repeal.
