PHOENIX (AP) - The Arizona Supreme Court is expected to issue a ruling on how much liability companies have for their employees when the workers are on out-of-town assignments.
The ruling could resolve a conflict between separate rulings by judges in the mid-level Court of Appeals.
In the case being decided Monday, a company contends it shouldn't be liable for an automobile accident involving an employee who was driving back to his hotel from dinner after work.
A Court of Appeals ruling said the company wasn't liable. A different Court of Appeals ruling in a similar case went the other way.
