AJO, Ariz. (AP) - U.S. Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar will be with U.S. Rep. Raul Grijalva of Arizona to assess the progress of homeland security projects at Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument on the Mexican border.
The Arizona Democrat and Salazar will be joined on Saturday's trip by Interior Assistant Secretary for Fish, Wildlife and Parks Tom Strickland, National Park Service Director John Jarvis and U.S. Deputy Chief Border Patrol Agent Robert Boatright.
Following the inspection tour, Salazar, Grijalva and Boatright will hold a news conference at the Ajo Municipal Airport to talk about the homeland security projects.
Federal authorities are trying to slow the flow of cash and guns that are fueling the raging drug wars in Mexico.

Grijalva is the last person that needs to be working on any border projects. That is a major conflict of interest as he is pro-illegal immigration and has shot down our Border Patrol before. If you notice, this is about the drug war, how about slowing down the amount of illegals.

If Grijalva was Caucasion and not Hispanic one would not notice his visit, but alas, the skin tone afflicted are always with us, always mankinds curse, but one day they will get in the hereafter what they so desired on earth to live in that lake of fire with only their kind, and not have to share anything or any place with those they deem superior too! How ironic on that final judgment day, their whining, crying, woe to me and mine will not end but become eternal and it will be what they earned in their earthly lives lived in hatred, racism, bigotry, but being blind biblical goats they will not realize it till it is too late to repent!

Grijalva is another incumbent I would vote against if I could vote in his district! I though this guy overall was a waste of flesh, but on occasion he would speak out on some environmental issue that I would totally agree with, like stopping the mineral exploration in the Grand Canyon, and the mine in the Santa Rita mountains.

RH, you are the only one who notices skin color in every post on this site. That speaks volumes about you. I am sick of you calling everyone racist, because it is knee-jerk insult you throw around constantly, you really insult the people who HAVE suffered racism. I am Hispanic and you are nothing but a racist pig for your remarks.
People are allowed to disagree with anyone. I guess according to your logic, one of our representatives should not be called into question because he is Hispanic--and that is racism and bigotry ON YOUR PART.

The real funny thing about cyber space, one can create these catchy internet handles, names, claim one is white, hispanic, black, indian, etc, and one can assume the person is honest, but unfortunately I believe in a old saying "I believe half of what I see, and half of what I hear"! And I refuse to debate teh cyber trolls lurking under the kova bridge, who can call me names, etc, I will not play, thats a fools game! One consistent is cyber trolls lurk under the bridge, jump out and demand the passer by pay a toll to cross the kvoa bridge, but I make them angry, by refusing to pay or play! I will not get into the gutter with any cyber trolls, I repeat if one is starved for conversation join a lonely hearts club, or go to your local favorite bar and engage some one there and am sure you will find the argument and debate you desire!

I am white, will vote for Grijalva, it is humorous no one can stop me, and no amount of commentary by those with issues will deter me from my vote, vote for whom ever one wishes, its no skin off my nose! I for one find the right wing humorous hiding behind their curious little cute internet handles, angry at the world, blaming everyone but the one who really ultimately causes ones woes, look in the mirror, and one sees who makes the trouble for ones own issues! But thats the division between the 20% dead enders club in the GOP, its always someone elses fault never theirs! The beauty of America that the extreme right wing hates is they cannot get more to join their looney tune secessionist, seditionist movements since once they started talking such stuff they proved how looney tune they truly are!:-)

Keep up the good work Gemini...but nothing you point out to him will ever get through. The old fella is very set in his delusions.

My family has known the Grijalva family for DECADES. In the words of my Father who passed a couple of years ago " Yo no lo trusteo ese coyote" translated means "I dont trust that Coyote". My pop was a pretty good judge of character, I thunk I will have to agree with POPs!

Actually Pupito, when he was working for the city of Tucson, I admired the man. It wasn't till he was a elected to his current position and he aligned himself with Jennifer Allen and started making accusations towards the Border Patrol based on unfounded claims--that hadn't been investigated. It is a dangerous thing when a Congressman will judge an agency based on word of mouth. That speaks volumes and it what turned me off of him.
AZB--I hear you--now Mr. Racism himself is trying to tell my what race I am. The funny thing is when you hear people screaming racism about illegals--it puts the racism on them--because they are stereotyping one race coming across the border, when in fact there are many different nationalities and races crossing our border illegal on a daily basis. Things that make you go hmm....

Gemini... I agree with you. As a "civilian?" he's actually a pretty nice man. He's really funny, and has some pretty interresting stories about his youth. Es un buen vato, but he's a TYPICAL politician in his duties. I admire the USBP, my cousin has been a patrolman for over 20 tears. It's a tough job according to him and actually requires a whole bunch of compassion.

It is ironic in a "red state", dominated by GOP, only the minority democrat politicians seem to get the ire of the right wing, guess thats ok, since my view is beware what you wish for, since the GOP for years wished for a Republican governor, now they got one a unelected one at that, but republican none the less, to go with their already domination in state senate/legislature, one good thing is when the inevitable disaster comes, they will try to pin it all on them darn democrats and of course some will eat anything if one puts enough seasoning on it, but much like on the national level, it takes much pain and much obviousness in who to blame and then folks wake up and realize who has been in charge, who is driving this Arizona bus, and it has not been democrats for a long time!

Speaking on racism, one has it world wide, in fact in Asia they might be worse than in America, its almost a mortal sin to marry outside ones own race there, in vietnam bi-racial children were totally disconnected, hated, despised, in philippines they had a curious distinction, mix white and philippino and it was highly desired, but mix black and philippino and not at all, racism is not exclusive to any one race, it exists in all races, just look at little right wing darling Michelle Malkin, parents born in philippines, in america on work visas, have her, she gains american citizenshp via the 14th amendment, but writes a questionable book on why it was justified to intern japanese americas during world war II, even if born in USA, it was her justification of why we ought to intern those with "arab decent", she also does much guest work on fox & friends on how hispanic anchor babies ought to be denied their birth rights, to US citizenship, how ironic since technically she is anchor baby too! I have often said one can spot a racist, it has nothing to do with their skin tone, its a mental illness, disease, since I do not think its normal, but guess that can be debated by minds smarter than I! I always say no one makes anyone a racist, that is a little self made thing, only one does to ones self!

@ Pupito--Kudos to your cousin, he is doing a job that is thankless due to the many who insult the BP to make them look bad to try and sway public opinion over illegals. I have family in the BP as well--I see many acts of bravery and many illegals owe their lives to the BP--but this does not make good news.
