Ariz. police agencies search for ID thief

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. (AP) - Arizona police agencies stretching from Prescott Valley to Mesa are looking for a woman using stolen identity and credit cards.

Gilbert police said the woman is suspected of making 47 fraudulent charges in Prescott Valley, Mayer, Gilbert, Mesa, Tempe and Apache Junction between June 11 and June 23, 2009.

Police have released surveillance photos of the woman, who is Caucasian and has blond or light-brown hair.

Anyone who recognizes the woman should contact the Gilbert Police Department at (480) 503-6500 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.

Gilbert Police Department spokesman Sgt. Mark Marino said the woman is wanted for forgery, theft of a credit card, fraudulent use of a credit card and ID theft.
