TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - Congressman Jeff Flake predicts that President Barack Obama's administration will chart a more centrist course as his administration moves forward.

The Arizona Republican told an Arizona Tax Research Association luncheon on Friday said that both the Democratic president and the Democratic-controlled Congress have overreached.

But Flake said the 2010 midterm election and other political realities will serve to restrain Obama.

Flake said a challenge for Republicans seeking to regain control of Congress is that they didn't do particularly well while in the majority.
