TUCSON - One more near Ice Breaking day before temps start to get a little nicer.
The Old Pueblo took one more step toward breaking the ice on the Santa Cruz but again came up just short with a high of 98. According to Meteorologist John Patrick, little is expected to change for your Thursday with an afternoon breeze and a forecast high of 98. However, if you think tomorrow will be the first 100 degree day make it your Ice Break guess and you could be off to Hawaii. Get started by clicking here.
Our chances of hitting 100 fade as we head into the weekend thanks to a low pressure disturbance scheduled to move through Northern Arizona. No rain expected with this one but gusts could reach 30-35mph leading to a high fire danger Friday into Saturday.
This system also drops our temperatures back a little closer to where they should be for mid May with highs in the low 90s for a short a period of time. Check out our little "cool down" in your True View 4 extended forecast by clicking here.
