TUCSON - Same story, different day in regards to storm chances in southern Arizona.
According to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish, ample moisture and instability will be the ingredients to get thunderstorms going this afternoon. Like yesterday, storms will tend to favor the higher terrain with some drifting into valley floors.
Any storm that does push off the mountains will be capable of locally heavy rainfall.
If you have outdoor plans this afternoon, the prime time for storms will be after 1 PM.
