TUCSON - Round two of wind and dust on tap this afternoon.
A cold front passing north of the state cranks up the Sonoran Wind Machine, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Gusty west winds up to 40 MPH develop today, easing off by this evening. Localized blowing dust is possible on I-10 near Picacho Peak and the Willcox Playa.
Santa Cruz, Cochise, Graham and Greenlee Counties are under a Wind Advisory today from 11 AM until 7 PM. Much of these areas are also under a Red Flag Warning, as gusty winds and low relative humidity raise the fire danger.
If you get caught in the blowing dust today, pull off the roadway, turn off your lights, take your foot off the brake & stay in your vehicle until visibility improves.
