Another active Monsoon day slated for the Sonoran Desert. A mid-level disturbance combined with ample moisture triggers scattered storms today and into the evening hours.
The best chance of storms today will be along the International Border. Activity today will be capable of flash flooding, damaging microburst winds & a dust storm. Tucson will see a later start to storms compared to yesterday, moving in late afternoon or early evening. Highs peak in the upper 90's this afternoon before storms roll in. A few storms may linger overnight. Tomorrow through Friday sees a downturn in storm development, with isolated thunder across southern Arizona. Models hint at an active weekend in store, thanks to a mid-level disturbance moving in from the east. Scattered storms are possible Saturday and Sunday.
