TUCSON - High pressure builds back in spoiling the beautiful weather.
Tucson saw its second straight day with temperatures in the 70s topping out at 78 this afternoon, according to Meteorologist John Patrick. Cool air sticks around for another nice night in the 40s and 50s before a warm up takes over the region.
High pressure builds back in over the west coast starting a significant warm up by Sunday. A forecast high of 87 wraps up the weekend and the low 90s are back and holding strong through the upcoming work week.
Tracking Tropical Storm Paul in the eastern Pacific to transport a little moisture our way by mid week. For now only expecting some high cloud cover Tuesday and Wednesday with the slight chance of an isolated mountain thunderstorm. Most of the moisture with this system will be suppressed by our ridge of high pressure keeping storm activity south of the border.
