PHOENIX - Arizonans participating in Humane Lobby Day 2014 will meet with lawmakers to lobby for better animal welfare laws.
The Humane Society of the United States is sponsoring Humane Lobby Day. Attendees will be supporting bills to protect breeding dogs and strengthen penalties for animal abusers. Arizona citizens will meet with their state legislators to discuss the importance of animal welfare legislation.
Those attending include Wayne Pacelle, president and CEO of The HSUS Kari Nienstedt, Arizona state director for The HSUS Rep. John Kavanagh and Sen. Steve Farley.
Humane Lobby Day is Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m at the Arizona State Capitol.
