NACO, Ariz. (AP) - U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers have seized more than 100 pounds of marijuana from the bumpers and doors of a car that was stopped at the Naco port of entry.
Officers were screening travelers at the port on Thanksgiving Day when they became suspicious of a car driven by a 22-year-old man from Sonora, Mexico.
Officers searched the car and discovered that both bumpers and doors were loaded with packages of pot.
The drugs found inside the car were worth an estimated $172,000.
The drugs and the car were seized and the man was turned over to immigration officers for further investigation. His name was not released.
