TUCSON - Joe Cavaleri, otherwise known as the "Ooh Aah" man, has decided to throw in the towel after 34 years of supporting Arizona Athletics, Director Greg Byrne said in his weekly newsletter.
Cavaleri cheered on his first Arizona baseball games back in 1979 and has since become known as the "Ooh Ahh" man for leading cheers at home games. Caveleri will perform for the final time this Saturday during the men's basketball game against Arizona State University.
There's even a commemorative shirt made in his honor.
Marc Herman, who is CEO of the Original Retro Brand. Marc's company worked with Joe to design and produce the Ooh Aah man t-shirt, and he has generously donated his profits from the sale of the t-shirts directly to Joe and his family.
