TUCSON - Heavy flooding rains moved into much of Tucson early on Tuesday morning. Areas hardest hit were midtown, Northwest and Western Tucson. Over 2.00" of rain fell in Oro Valley and much of the west side reported over 1.00" of rain.
The latest in a series of disturbances raced across the region today and is now moving away. High pressure will move into a less favorable monsoon position and begin to suppress storm development by Wednesday and more so into Thursday and Friday.
As the moisutre level goes down, the temperatures go up. Expect highs to return to triple digits for the next several days with storm chances substantially diminishing.
More moisture should return to the region by the weekend for an increase in storm activity again.
