TUCSON - The monsoon remains active into the weekend with plenty of moisture still in place to work with.
The monsoon ridge of high pressure remains in a favorable position to keep above average moisture around this weekend. Isolated to scattered storms will once again develop in the mountains and move WSW into the valley floors this afternoon.
Strong winds are possible with today's storms, however, with the amount of moisture in place heavy rain will remain the biggest concern. Flash flooding will be an issue with the storms that develop especially when they move over areas that have already seen heavy rain over the last couple of days.
The monsoon will remain active into next week with ample moisture in play over Southern Arizona. Temperatures will stay near normal in the mid to upper 90s.
