TUCSON - Showers likely into the start of the upcoming work week.
An active monsoon pattern is in place over the next few days as moisture continues to stream into southern Arizona. According to Meteorologist John Patrick, numerous showers are possible today to wrap up the weekend.
Our deep moisture interacts with an upper level disturbance on Monday bringing even better rain chances to the region. Showers will again be likely with the possibility of a few embedded thunderstorms. The main concern into the start of the work week will be periods of heavy rain and possible flash flooding.
By midweek monsoon moisture fades and storm coverage turns more isolated. The below average temperatures that start the week will return to the normal high 90s by Thursday.
