Accident closes I-8 near Gila Bend

PHOENIX - A tractor-trailer fire has closed eastbound Interstate 8 about 20 miles east of Gila Bend, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation. Drivers in the area should expect delays.
Travelers can consider detours that include State Route 238 from Gila Bend to Maricopa. Once in Maricopa, drivers can turn south on State Route 347 and then use State Route 84 to return to I-8.
