TUCSON - Arizona Department of Public Safety officers are investigating a two vehicle collision with on fatality.

The accident happened at about 2 a.m. Monday morning in the area of the I-19 and I-10 junction.

At this time the ramp from westbound I-10 to southbound I-19 is closed to traffic. The ramp from Eastbound I-10 to southbound I-19 is open. Southbound I-19 is restricted to one lane, the inside lane of traffic.

Traffic is already backing up on I-10. DPS is asking drivers to avoid the area, if possible, and find alternate routes to get to work.

Officers say the area will be closed for an unknown amount of time for investigation.
