TUCSON - You can still register for classes at Pima Community College, even though the traditional fall semester began August 28. It's not too late to sign up for other courses that are taught in two accelerated formats.
PCC calls them Late Start classes, and they don't begin until next week (Tuesday, Sept. 10). These Late Start classes go for 14 weeks, two weeks shorter than normal full semester courses. Pima has classes available in almost two dozen study areas, including Computer Information Systems, Mathematics, Philosophy, Sociology, Spanish, and Writing. You can take courses in a traditional classroom or online.
According to a spokesperson, PCC also is offering courses in an eight-week session beginning Thursday, Oct. 24. These courses also are available in many areas of study, and are taught in traditional, online, web-classroom hybrid, or self-paced formats.
To register for classes or for complete information on class schedules, go to www.pima.edu. For information on applying, call 206-4500, go online or visit one of PCC's six campuses.
