TUCSON - As temperatures rise, so are gas prices.
It's a trend experts predict will continue all the way through Labor Day.
"Prices are going up because refineries switch over to their summer blend," says AAA's Nicole Doughtery. "And also as motorist traffic increases that puts a higher demand on fuel and therefore, prices go up."
Doughtery says come summer, gas will be twenty-percent more expensive than it was last year, "In 2009, the average was $2.35 per gallon across the country. And this summer it's anticipated to be $2.84. They should be hovering anywhere around three dollars probably by the end of the summer."
