MARANA, Ariz. (AP) It's been an enjoyable year so far for golf pro Geoff Ogilvy.
Personally, at least. His wife gave birth to their third child less than a week ago.
Now, Ogilvy hopes good fortunes continue professionally, as the first World Golf Championship of 2010 gets under way.
The Match Play Championship will open Wednesday at Ritz-Carlton Golf Club at Dove Mountain, just north of Tucson. Ogilvy is the No. 10 seed and will open with Alexander Noren of Sweden.
The 32-year-old Ogilvy lives about two hours north of Phoenix, where his wife, Julie, is home with their three children, including the latest arrival -- Harvey Jack, who was born on Feb. 11.
Ogilvy says he's coming into the tournament "pretty refreshed" and "ready to go."
He just hopes not to leave sooner than he wants.
