TUCSON - Imagine if you had 600 children! An overwhelming task to say the least, especially if you only had a limited amount of time to care for each one. That is just another day on the job for the Reid Park Zoo veterinarian.
Dr. Alexis Moreno has been with the zoo for about five years now. She goes to the zoo a couple of times a week, checking up on the animals, but she is on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It is a dirty job but she is more than happy to do it.
News 4 Tucson's Danielle Lerner joined her for the morning rounds to see what it's like - check out the video above, plus the bonus footage and extended interview for an in-depth look at a day in the life of a Reid Park Zoo veterinarian.
