TUCSON - A free concert series and plenty of art to see around the old pueblo. Herb Stratford has this week's Arts and Culture segment.
The Friday Night Live Concert series at Main Gate Square will host the Rob Resetar Trio Tomorrow night at 7 p.m.
The free, summer Jazz series is presented by Main Gate Square and the Southern Arizona Arts and Cultural Alliance, and offers music every other week in the Geronimo Plaza at Euclid and University. With validated parking and tons of shops and restaurants, it's a great way to kick off the weekend once the sun goes down.
An exhibit of artwork inspired by the Sea of Cortez is on display at the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum. The show features the work of over 30 artists who interpret both the wildlife and beautiful environment of the area in their pieces. The show is on display through June 2nd, and it will then travel around the country.
At the Conrad Wilde Gallery a show of artwork by Ruth Hiller entitled "Soft Geometry" is on display through June 29th. The minimalist encaustic works are unique and really beautiful to see in person. Conrad Wilde Gallery is located at 6th Street and 6th Avenues.
