TUCSON - Three weeks to go before Jim Click's Charity Challenge ends and someone wins a brand new car!
Jim Click has given 40,000 raffle tickets to about 200 different charities around Tucson and anyone who buys a ticket gets a chance to win a 37,000 dollar Nissan Leaf.
"We decided to do the Leaf because it was the first really all electric car, in fact, it's the first time I've been in the car and it's absolutely amazing," Click said.
The tickets are 25 dollars each and if all tickets sell, that's one million dollars raised.
Click said, "Some agencies might only sell 100 tickets, but that's enough to keep you in business."
President of the Lupus Foundation of Southern Arizona, Joni Broussard says 70 tickets have sold so far, but there are still 130 left.
"This is a great opportunity for the Lupus Foundation," Broussard said. "We are using this money for research and they've already developed some great new medicines, so we're hoping to just get rid of it."
A small price to pay to raise awareness and a chance to win a new car
The drawing happens April 27th at Jim Click Nissan and for a list of all the charities where you can get a ticket, here's the link: http://jimclickcommunity.com/nissan.html
