MARANA - The Marana Police Department will be holding a Citizens Police Academy this month.

This program is designed for town citizens and members of the business community to take an inside look at law enforcement operations.

This interactive program showcases several units in the department with an emphasis on policy and the daily responsibilities of a police officer.

The Academy is a 42-hour block of instruction provided by Marana Police Department personnel, allowing participants an opportunity to get to know the officers and department employees.

The academy is held every Wednesday, beginning January 23rd and concludes April 10th.
