TUCSON - As of 8:00 p.m., The Tucson International Airport received 0.01" of rain ending the dry stretch of weather going back to December, 20th of last year.
Light rain was tapering off over the Tucson area, but isolated showers were observed in Cochise County. According to Chief Meteorologist Matt Brode, the snow level should continue to fall to 4500' where a dusting to 1" of snow could fall.
Sonoita and Sierra Vista saw some wet snowflakes Monday evening, and other places such as Bisbee could see some light snow before tapering off early Tuesday morning.
Mostly sunny skies will return by Tuesday, but temperatures will remain cool. Highs are expected to remain in the upper 50s to lower 60s for the warmest Desert locations.
