TUCSON - The 90s make a late October appearance to end the weekend.
Tucson was able to top out at 90 today making it the 165th time this year Tucson has been at or above that mark, according to Meteorologist John Patrick. The average last 90 degree day for Tucson occurs on October 20 so we're not far behind that but high pressure is going to keep temps elevated for several days. Daytime highs should remain in the upper 80s, about 5-10 degrees above average, through Halloween.
Changes are on the way for late in the work week as a pacific low moves into the west coast. Southern Arizona should get its first taste of this next system by Friday as temperatures begin to drop a little closer to average for this time of year. This system looks dry for us but we could get some breezes and high clouds late in the week with the low 80s sticking around through next weekend.
