A 9-year-old Tucson boy, who was once neglected and exposed to illegal drugs, is looking toward the future.

Living in a foster home right now, Arturo just wants stability. He wants a home, with plenty of pets.

Arturo's favorite television shows are on Animal Planet. Right now, he claims 6 dogs, 4 cats, 2 fish and a turtle. He says, "I brush them and feed them and wash them."

Arturo's case manager, Jennifer Rossman, describes him as reserved and shy.

"he seems to do better in a structured home where he knows what's expected of him. Ideally, a good fit would be a family that's experienced. That's parented before," she says.

She also says he does best with older children, since he's a bit competitive.

When asked to describe his dream pet, Arturo said "I'd pick his name, Linus. And he'd be a lion."

If you'd like to learn more about Arturo, you can contact the St. Nicholas of Myra Adoption Center, in Tucson.
