TUCSON - After a chilly month of February temperatures are back above normal for the first weekend of March.
We just wrapped up the 21st coldest February on record for Tucson but the first day of March brought a high of 73, according to Meteorologist John Patrick. High pressure will continue to build over Arizona bringing highs up to the low 80s through the weekend, temperatures we haven't seen since January 23rd.
An increase in cloud cover is expected by Sunday and Monday as a weak weather disturbance passes to our north. It will have little effect on our temperatures, however, with highs remaining in the mid to upper 70s to start the next work week.
