TUCSON - Weekend highs in the 70s before the first 90s of the year make their debut.
A system moving through the Great Basin will keep the afternoon breeze around with highs in the mid 70s under mostly sunny skies to start the weekend. This disturbance will tap into just enough moisture for a slight chance of showers mainly in the mountains north and east of Tucson.
High pressure really cranks up the thermometer early next week. The 80s are back by Monday with the first 90s since October of last year expected as soon as Tuesday. Tucson's first 90 normally hits on April 9 so it looks like it will come in right on time this year.
