MESA - Six people were injured, including two children in a car crash on eastbound U.S. 60 east of Alma School Road in Mesa Sunday.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety says two children, ages 7 and 3, and a third patient were transported to area trauma centers after two cars crashed around 4:10 p.m.
DPS also shut down lanes for about two hours to investigate the crash, move the cars and treat the wounded.
"It does appear there were three patients transported; however, we do not have any information regarding their condition or the level of injury involved," DPS officials said.
