Tucson - Fifty college students from Mexico will attend Pima Community College this fall in an innovative pilot program designed to increase global awareness while furthering the students' education in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics disciplines.
PCC is one of only six community colleges in the U.S. to receive the program's students this semester.
All 50 students will take an English as a Second Language course with a STEM focus. A PCC program coordinator will work directly with students, monitor their progress and develop cultural experiences.
The SEP-Bécalos-Santander Universidades International Program is supporting the students.
