PINAL COUNTY - Another case of extreme hoarding has been discovered in Pinal County - over 50 cats were found at the Pinal County home of a man arrested today for animal cruelty.

Gary Cyphert was arrested today on animal cruelty charges after the cats were found in "deplorable conditions" in his home near Gold Canyon. Charges are also expected for his wife.

Pinal County officials say Cyphert was threatening their animal control officers, so the sheriff's office was called in to serve a warrant. Cyphert was taken into custody.

An official with Pinal County says the cats are in "pretty bad shape," with illness and disease suspected.
