4.2 earthquake hits China

CHINA (NBC) - A 4.2 magnitude earthquake struck China's Yunnan province Thursday. The earthquake occurred around noon local time and sent residents running out into the streets.

Several security camera videos captured the moment the earthquake struck. There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.

Earthquakes are common in Yunnan province. A 6.5 quake struck the area earlier this month killing more than 600 people and destroying 8,000 homes.
