TUCSON - Tucson Fire officials confirm a third victim related to last night's shooting has been found near "A" Mountain and transported to a nearby hospital.
The Tucson Police Department says one man is dead and another man was injured in a shooting near "A" mountain. Fire officials say a third victim was found at about 8 a.m. Monday morning.
The shooting incident happened just before 6:30 p.m. Sunday in the 1800 block of South San Jose, west of I-10 near Starr Pass Blvd. Police responded after getting a call of shots fired.
Sergeant Chris Widmer says police found one man dead inside a car. Another man was found outside of the car, in the desert. He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Police received information that someone involved in the shooting possibly ran into a nearby residence. Officers secured two residences, and SWAT personnel entered both locations, but did not find anyone.
At this time, no suspects have been identified and the investigation is ongoing, according to a TPD news release. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
