ORO VALLEZ, Ariz. - A three-year-old boy nearly drowned in a relative's pool Saturday.
According to Joshua Hurguy with the Golder Ranch Fire District, the boy was breathing on his own when fire personnel arrived on scene.
The boy was at a house near Lambert Lane and La Canada, with his brothers, when he was left unsupervised. A relative was going to grab some sort of flotation device.
When the adult returned, the boy was at the bottom of the pool.
He was pulled from the pool and a family member immediately began CPR on him.
By the time Golder Ranch Fire District crews arrived, the boy was conscious, speaking, and breathing on his own.
He was taken by ambulance to the University of Arizona Medical Center for further evaluation.
