CIUDAD JUAREZ, Mexico (AP) - Officials say three people with ties to the American consulate were killed in a Mexican border city.

A Chihuahua state prosecutors' spokesman says a couple was shot to death in their car near the Santa Fe International bridge in Ciudad Juarez. A baby was found unharmed in the back seat.

Tuexi says the woman had a credential identifying her as a consulate employee. The man had a document identifying him as a U.S. citizen.

Tuexi said Sunday that nobody has claimed the bodies killed Saturday. The baby is in the custody of Mexican social services.

The White House says that an American consulate employee and her U.S. citizen husband were killed. The White House says the husband of a Mexican citizen employee was also killed.
