3-star DB Antonio Parks verbals with Wildcats

It was a happy July 4th for Rich Rodriguez and the Arizona football program. RichRod and the staff received a verbal commitment from 3-star defensive back Antonio Parks of East St. John High School in Louisiana.

Parks is a 5-foot-9, 170-pound defender who has been seen punishing defenders, behind the line of scrimmage and down the field.

In an interview with NOLA.com writer James Smith, Parks said Arizona was the right fit for his style of play.

"I got the offer from them (Arizona) in the spring. We sat down with Coach Banko and watched film. They hung around and watched me practice for a while.

"They called me later that night and offered me. The offer caught my attention because it was my first offer that came immediately after watching me live so that kind of struck me from the beginning."

Parks had received interest from the likes of Purdue, Clemson, Duke and even Arizona State among others. He is the 16th student-athlete to commit to the Wildcats in the class of 2015.

Here is the Hudl video of Parks during his junior campaign.
