TUCSON - Police have arrested three people for their involvement in the death of a 54-year-old Tucson man who was found with life-threatening injuries last April on a south side sidewalk.
On April 16, 2011, 54-year-old Terry Caldwell was found suffering from life-threatening injuries on a sidewalk near the 5800 block of South 12th Avenue. He died at a nearby hospital a short time later, according to a Tucson Police news release.
After an investigation by Tucson Police, a Pima County Grand Jury reviewed the case, and in mid-July 2012, arrest warrants were obtained for 42-year-old Michael Celaya, 27-year-old Jessica Miranda, and 29-year-old Luis Howard, for their involvement in Caldwell's death, the release states.
Ceyala was already in Pima County Jail for a separate matter, Miranda was located by patrol officers and arrested on July 23, and the U.S. Marshall's Service assisted in locating Luis Howard at a Tucson Apartment on July 31. He surrendered and was taken into custody without incident.
All three were charged with one count each of First-Degree Murder, Aggravated Robbery, and one count of Auto Theft.
