TUCSON - The 6th Annual "2012 Veterans Celebration Day Event" will be held this weekend.
The 6th Annual "2012 Veterans Celebration Day Event" is an event meant for every veteran including Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation New Dawn (OEF/OIF/OND) veterans and active duty members, as opposed to the previous five years, where the event was a "welcome home" event.
At the event, there will be information and resources for Vets, Service Members and their families, as well as games and live entertainment.
Local bands will provide live music throughout the day. There will be children and family games as well as a balloon artist, pony ride, and crafts.
The event will be jointly hosted by The Southern Arizona Veteran Affairs Health Care System (SAVAHCS), Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA), VA Regional Office, VA Vet Center, Wounded Warrior Program, State and local Veteran service organizations, according to a news release from SAVAHCS.

• Eligibility and Enrollment
• Post Deployment Care
• Primary Care, Women's Health Clinic
• Substance Abuse Treatment Program
• Homeless Program
• Polytrauma Network Site
• Southwestern Blind Rehabilitation Center
• Spinal Cord Injury Clinic
• OEF/OIF/OND Transition Program
The 2012 Veterans Celebration Day event will be on November 10, 2012, at the VA Medical Center at 3601 S. Sixth Avenue, Tucson Arizona. The event is from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Visitors are asked to enter at the Sixth Avenue Gate and are encouraged to bring blanket and lawn chairs for the live music. Alcoholic beverages will be strictly prohibited.
