TUCSON - Four masked men entered a southwest-side home last night - at least two were shot and were later found at a nearby hospital, and police are searching for the other two.
At about 9:50 p.m. last night, Pima County Sheriff's Department deputies responded to a shots fired call at the 4500 block of Paseo Don Rolando, near Ajo Highway and Kinney Road.
Deputies learned that four masked males entered the residence with nine people, including two small children, inside. No one inside the house was injured. As they were departing, a resident inside the home fired a weapon at the subjects, PCSD officials say. A short time later, St. Mary's Hospital notified law enforcement of the arrival of two men with gunshot wounds.
Detectives at the scene say that this does not appear to be a random act of violence. A trail of blood leads from the scene, detectives say. At least two additional subjects are outstanding, officials say they are described as Hispanic males, with one wearing black pants, black jacket, and a black ski mask. The other was wearing a white shirt, red baseball cap and a red mask.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
