TUCSON - Northwest Healthcare is offering two free flu shot clinics this month - and you don't even have to get out of your care to get one!
Just in time for flu season, two Drive Flu Shot Clinics will be offered with no appointment necessary, and no need to get out of the car. Both clinics are free and open to anyone over 18.
The first will be on October 18 from 7 to 9 a.m. at Continental Reserve Urgent Care, located at 8333 North Silverbell Road.
The second is on October 25 from 7 to 9 a.m. at Oro Valley Hospital, 1551 East Tangerine Road.
Download and print the necessary forms before you go from:
Bring the completed forms with you and hand them to the nurse administering your flu shot.
"By getting the flu vaccine, you can protect yourself from influenza and may also avoid spreading influenza to others," Northwest Healthcare officials stated in a news release. "Approximately two weeks after receiving the vaccine, antibodies develop in the body that will provide protection against the influenza virus."
Participants who go to the clinic at Oro Valley Hospital are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food donation for the Catalina Community Food Bank.
