TUCSON - Two men have been arrested for an arson fire that police say they set intentionally at a warehouse on Tucson's south side last week.
On July 30, at about 7:30 p.m. Tucson Fire responded to a structure fire in the 500 block of East 24th St to find a warehouse fully engulfed in flame, according to a Tucson Police Department news release.
Arson detectives interviewed witnesses and examined evidence at the scene to determine the fire had been set intentionally, classifying it as an arson. A witness saw two men leaving the area just before the fire.
On August 1, Arson detectives arrested 34-year-old Eduardo West for his involvement. He was booked into Pima County Jail on 1 count of Arizona of an Occupied Structure and 1 Count of Criminal Damage, both felony offenses.
The next day, 40-year-old Cruz Baumea was arrested and booked on the same charges.
