UPDATE - NEAR ARIVACA - The U.S. Forest Service says the two wildfires, both believed to be human caused, burning near Arivaca should be fully contained by 6:00 p.m. tonight.
The Black Peak Fire, burning about 10 miles south of Arivaca has spread to 900 acres.
One crew will remain on site to monitor the flames through the evening.
The Apache Fire, burning in the Nogales Ranger District, has spread to 300 acres.
The same crew that will be monitoring the Black Peak Fire tonight will watch over this fire as well.
No structures are threatened and no injuries have been reported.
We will have more updates as information becomes available.
NEAR ARIVACA- The U.S. Forest Service has confirmed two fires are burning right now near Arivaca.
The Black Peak Fire, burning about 10 miles south of Arivaca was reported Monday around 1:00 p.m., and has now spread to over 1,000 acres.
Close to 100 multi-agency fire personnel have been called in as well as one helicopter, which is conducting suppression efforts.
No injuries associated with the Black Peak Fire have been reported, and no evacuations are taking place.
The Apache Fire has spread to 60 acres and is burning about one mile northeast of Apache Pass.
Fire crews are monitoring this site.
Both fires are believed to be human caused and are under investigation.
