2 brothers drowned Saturday at Lake Pleasant

PHOENIX (AP) - Two brothers drowned in Lake Pleasant as one of the young men tried to save his brother who was having difficulty swimming.
The Arizona Republic reports that 19-year-old Dan Nguyen and 20-year-old Thanh "Matt" Nguyen drowned on Saturday afternoon.
Tom Pendley, battalion chief with the Peoria Police Department, says the brothers and their family were picnicking at the lake when Matt decided to swim across a 150-foot cove.
Pendley says Matt got tired at some point and possibly panicked, so his brother swam to help him.
The brothers didn't use flotation devices.
