PHOENIX (AP) - A woman out for a jog with her twin 1-year-old boys had to pull them from a Tempe pond after their stroller plunged into the water.
Tempe Fire Department spokesman Michael Reichling tells the Arizona Republic that the mother was jogging near the pond late Saturday afternoon when she stopped to pick a lemon off a tree.
She didn't realize the jogging stroller was on an incline and it rolled into the pond with the boys strapped into it.
Reichling says the mother immediately dove in and pulled the twins from the water. Both appeared fine but were taken to a local hospital as a precaution.
